Adventure Time Launch Party

 Hello all. Yesterday I attended the launch party for the new Adventure Time game, Hey Ice King! Why Did You Steal Our Garbage?! Pendleton Ward was awesome enough to show up early and talk for a bit with the fans waiting outside. I was too nervous to do anything but say hi and sneak a photo. Inside, I found a little girl who was seriously the cutest thing ever. I asked if I could take a picture of her and she seemed so excited. Pen and James Montagna (the director of the video game) were there to sign and draw for the fans. I was able to add more signatures and Jakes to my Jake mask. I also had Pen sign my Rooz figure.

Nail Art

My friends and I went to the Nailed exhibit at Subliminal Projects in Los Angeles. I was in love with the Chanel, teacher, and Valentine's day theme nails and it was interesting to see the different aspects of nail art. Madeline Poole and Stephanie Stone were doing nails for free. I choose to do the gold leaf design and then the sequin dot on my ring finger.

We also went to the Urban Light display at LACMA. On the way home a motorcyclist drove next to us and performed a wheelie. Also I adopted a street sign we found on the floor.

Frankenweenie Exhibit

Last week Zac, Kellie, and I went to Disneyland! We went on many rides, including Grizzly River Run (where all our butts got soaked). We also went to the little Frankenweenie exhibit in California Adventure.

Labor Day

Laughlin

I went to Laughlin with my friends from Thursday night to Sunday morning. We all stayed at the
vacation home of my friend, Amanda's grandparents. It was a very chill and relaxing weekend, which was exactly what I needed. We swam, drank, ate, and watched chick flicks all day on Friday. At night we all (except two people) did the blind make up challenge on each other. The results were, as you can see, beautiful.

 

On Saturday we all went to a river. It was so refreshing and fun! Although I'm sure I ruined my shoes. Afterwards we went swimming again in the pool.

Adventure Time Art Exhibit

Last night, I went with my friends Kellie and Zac to the "Oootopia: An Artgebraic Tribute to Adventure Time" at Nucleus. I made a sad attempt to dress up as Jake and got free admission (saved $5, BABE).

 We went looking for food and drinks since we arrived at the gallery so early.

I somehow got blue paint and water stains on my Jake mask...

I enjoyed using Jake and Beemo as props. I even tried to put smug Jake into the background of a photo someone was taking, I have no idea if it worked...but a child caught me in the act.

There were a couple of crayons laying around the exhibit that had turned white from Marceline taking away the red. They were just scattered on top of paintings or on shelves. My friends and I took one each...I don't know if we were suppose to, but they were all gone by the end of the night.

 I drew a little picture and left a thank you message for the artists of Adventure Time. Zac and I forgot to take a picture of the doodle though...
